These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Semper website and any purchases made through it. By visiting our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

 About Semper

Semper (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and online store to provide luxury made-to-order jewellery and related services (the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide these Services to you. All purchases made through this website are made directly with Semper.

Eligibility & Use of Services

By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. You agree not to misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use them for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activity carried out under your account.

Our Creations & Made-to-Order Nature

All Semper pieces are made to order. Production begins only once your order has been accepted. Because each creation is individually crafted, natural variations in gemstones, precious metals, and finishes may occur. Product images are representative and may vary slightly from the final piece. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time without notice.

Orders & Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Orders are only accepted once you receive official order confirmation from Semper. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including but not limited to cases of pricing errors, production limitations or suspected fraud. If payment has been taken, it will be fully refunded.Once an order has entered production, it cannot be cancelled except as required by law.

Pricing, Currency, Taxes & Duties

Prices on the Semper website are displayed in different currencies depending on your location. Most customers will see prices shown in their local or regional currency. International prices may differ from United Kingdom prices. These differences reflect currency conversion, logistics, insurance, customs duties, import taxes, and region-specific costs. Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed for your region are inclusive of applicable taxes and duties, meaning no additional customs or import charges should be payable upon delivery. The final purchase price, currency, and any applicable charges will be clearly confirmed at checkout before you complete your order. Exchange rates are set automatically and may fluctuate. Semper is not responsible for any additional charges applied by your bank or payment provider, including foreign transaction or currency conversion fees.

Payment

Full payment is required before production begins. You confirm that all billing and payment information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected.

Ring Sizes & Custom Specifications

You are responsible for providing accurate sizing and specifications. We strongly recommend using the official Semper size guides before placing an order. Resizing, remaking, or modifications due to incorrect information may incur additional charges.

Production, Shipping & Delivery

All pieces are crafted to order, hallmarked, and finished prior to dispatch. Estimated lead times (typically 3–5 weeks) are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by production complexity, hallmarking processes, customs clearance, courier services, or events outside our reasonable control. Where regional pricing includes duties and taxes, shipments are typically sent on a delivery-duties-paid (DDP) basis. In the unlikely event that local authorities impose additional charges, Semper will work with you to resolve the matter. All shipments are insured until delivery. Risk transfers to you once the order has been delivered and signed for.

Warranty

Every Semper creation is meticulously crafted and inspected to uphold our standards of excellence. We offer a lifetime warranty on all Semper jewellery against manufacturing defects. Manufacturing defects may include, but are not limited to, structural faults or loose diamonds, gemstones, or settings present at the time of delivery. Should a manufacturing defect arise, Semper will repair the piece at no charge. This lifetime warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including scratching, surface wear, stretched rings or chains, tarnishing, loss of stones due to impact, lost or stolen jewellery, or damage resulting from improper use, storage or cleaning. Diamonds and coloured gemstones are not guaranteed against chipping, breakage, or wear over time. Any alteration, resizing, repair, or servicing performed by a third party not authorised by ourselves at Semper will immediately void this lifetime warranty. If you believe your piece displays a fault related to original craftsmanship, please contact us promptly so our team may assess the piece and advise on the appropriate next steps. Beyond warranty coverage, we offer a comprehensive aftercare service, including professional cleaning, repolishing, resizing, and bespoke repairs. We are committed to supporting the longevity of every Semper creation and preserving its beauty for generations. For peace of mind, we strongly recommend arranging a private jewellery insurance policy to protect your piece against accidental damage, loss, or theft. Returns, Faults & Consumer Rights

Because all Semper creations are made to order, we do not accept returns or cancellations once production has begun, except where an item is faulty or not as described. You must notify us of any faults or damage within 48 hours of delivery. Where a fault is confirmed, we may offer repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with UK consumer law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Intellectual Property

All content, designs, imagery, trademarks, product concepts, and the Semper name and Infiniti emblem are the intellectual property of Semper or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any part of the Services without prior written consent.

Third-Party Services & Shopify

Our store is powered by Shopify. However, all purchases are made directly with Semper. You acknowledge that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of transactions between you and Semper and you release Shopify and its affiliates from any related claims. Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

Feedback & Reviews

If you submit reviews, feedback, or suggestions, you grant Semper a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them for business and marketing purposes. You confirm that any feedback does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semper shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Our total liability relating to any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded under law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
